What data we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. These are required to set up your restaurant, route orders to you, and verify your identity.

When customers order from your page or text your number, we collect their name, phone number, order details, and the messages they send. This information is shared with you so you can fulfill and follow up on their orders.

How we use your data

• Account management — to create and maintain your vendor profile, authenticate you, and communicate important service updates.
• Order delivery — to route customer orders to you via text, your dashboard, and your kitchen tablet.
• Service improvement — to understand how vendors and customers use the platform so we can make it better.
• Billing — to process your subscription and per-order fees, and to route customer payments to your account, through our payment processor.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to run the platform:

• Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe handles your card information directly; we never see or store your full card number.
• Email delivery — to send transactional emails like verification links and order notifications.
• Phone services — to provide your dedicated business phone number and handle customer conversations.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum information they need to provide their service.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Period.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics that follow you around the web.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@startmyown.restaurant.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email. Minor clarifications may be made without notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
